One of the great pleasures of winter is cocooning with a cozy blanket and a good book.  

We have some great reading ideas lined up for everyone this season. The youth Winter Reading Club begins December 19: “Blizzard Bingo!” We have a fun new format for this annual favorite. Instead of logging minutes, kids will complete reading activities on a bingo card. All participants are invited to attend the “Bigg” finale on January 29.  

Our adult winter reading program, “The Story of a Lifetime,” celebrates memoirs. Look on the page at right for details or in Adult Services for displays and booklists. And we invite you to pen your own “life sentence” for the Six-Word Memoir™ project. There are prizes for the most compelling entries.  

Finally, some great news: Your library ranks among the best in the country. This fall, we were awarded “Star Library” status by Library Journal. We are honored to be one of just 258 libraries to receive this national recognition. Many thanks to you, our community of patrons, who support your public library.
