It probably comes as no surprise that I love libraries, and that I hope you do too. If you haven’t visited the Vernon Area Public Library District lately, I hope you will consider stopping by soon to check out all that we do have to offer.
The American Library Association hosts a website, www.ILoveLibraries.org , where people from across the nation are encouraged to tell their stories on why libraries are important to them. With that initiative in mind, here is my list on why VAPLD is a library I love.

- CDs, DVDs, Downloads and Blu-Ray. Music, movies and more are available in a variety of formats.
- Internet for All. Wi-Fi hotspot offering wireless color, as well as black and white printing. No laptop, no problem; we have 87 computers available for VAPLD card holders.
- Programs. From Authors to Zumba, we offer a wide variety of programs and special events.
- Outreach. Provide library materials and services to area schools, social service agencies, nursing home residents, as well as to the homebound.
