When issued a library card you are given a PIN, which is the last four digits of your telephone number.  Your library card number and PIN is needed to login to many of the library's online features.

To ensure the privacy and confidentiality of Library user records, the library has implemented PIN security as an additional security feature for patron accounts.  PIN security is an additional number that must be entered to access your Library account online.  PIN security has been enabled for all Library accounts.

When you access your account you will be prompted for your library card number AND your PIN.  Your Library card number is the number on the back of your library card.  If you don't have a PIN, you can use the last 4 digits of your home phone number in the PIN field.  You can and should change this default PIN to a number only you know (see "Changing Your PIN Number" ).

To change your PIN follow these steps:

1. First, click on "My Account" under "Quick Links". This link will direct you to the "My Account" page of the library catalog.
						2. Next, you will be prompted to enter your library card number and PIN number to access your account information.
3. Once logged in, access your personal information by clicking on the "Profile" tab on the black navigation bar.
						4. Scroll down to the PIN section. Fill in the fields as instructed.  The PIN you select must contain only numbers and be no longer than 20 digits.  No letters or special characters are allowed. Be sure to click on the "Update" button when done.

Change your PIN to something you will remember.  If you forget your PIN you will be unable to access your account until you contact the Library for assistance at 847-634-3650.
