All residents of the VAPLD are eligible to receive a VAPLD library card. You can check to see if you live in the VAPLD by referring to the district map. Or search here to find your Library district.
Non-resident taxpayers and in-district businesses and organizations are also eligible to receive a VAPLD library card.
Non-residents who do not pay library taxes are eligible to purchase a VAPLD library card under the current State of Illinois rules and regulations governing the issuing of such cards. The minimum fee for such a card is determined by a formula prepared by the Illinois State Library, and is based on the equalized assessed valuation of the applicant’s property.
Out-of-district residents may use the library when they register their library card at the Patron Services Desk.
