A modern retelling of Beauty and the Beast from the point of view of the Beast, a vain high school student who is turned into a monster and must find true love before he can regain his human form. Copies of the book will be available beginning March 17.

Unwind by Neal Shusterman
Monday, May 19 from 5–6pm
In a future world, after the Second Civil War, teens between the ages of 13 and 18 can have their lives “unwound” and their body parts harvested for use by others. Three teens decide to defy society and enter an underground network in to order survive. Copies of the book will be available beginning April 14.

Junior Volunteers
June 16–July 18
For students entering grades 7–10 next fall
Be a part of our volunteer program. Volunteers will help Youth
Services Staff with the Summer Reading Club between June 16
and July 18. Each volunteer is required to attend one training
session and work at least one two-hour shift. If you are
interested in becoming a Junior Volunteer, applications will be
available at the Youth Services Desk beginning May 5 and need
to be returned by May 23.
Required Training Sessions: (choose one)
Tuesday, June 10 from 7–8pm
Friday, June 13 from 2–3pm
or Saturday, June 14 from 10–11am
